    Hi there. Would like to unlock/reset my Bios Passwort for my Elitebook 820 G3. to my understanding you need a Bios backup, right? how can I do this as i cannot see the option in the Bios Menu? thank you

    Eeprom reader like ezp2010, rt809f etc

    If you are not a tecnical specialist computer repair you can send your laptop to a service shop and tell them to contact me to unlock your lap top

    just for curiosity... why do we have to download the stuff again and again, if we are talking about a special series like the Elite 820 G3 in this case. why isn`t there a generic file which can be used instead?

    what? i am curious to understand why, in case i would have two similiar EB 820 G3, why i should download both BIOS although they are the same. as i want to reset the whole device a fresh bios would be enough, as the Bios should be able to identify memory, harddrives etc. on its own. so why isn`t there a generic file which can be used? to my understanding HP was sending out SMC.BIN files until a year ago, to reset the bios pw, which they are not doing anymore. so why aren`t UUID and Serial not enough to create a file?

    apart from this... yes i had my own it company for then years, doing similar stuff (assembling, selling, repairing, tweaking and so on). but this is now 10y ago and i am now more a lazy user, trying to find pragmatic approaches

    the smc.bin file is created only by hp support which he stopped to generate it
    another way to unlock it is to read bios chip with eeprom reader that i say you before

    okay. still does not understand, why i can`t use one of the other files you created for HP 820 G3 so far, but thank you for your support so far.

    You can use it but you may have some problems like laptop not turn on,not display, late dispaly ,missing serial number ,uuid etc

    thought by using your files and changing UUID and Serial this should solve most of the issues, don`t you think so?
