    Good afternoon,
    I'm new to this forum and bios issue so please bare with me. I have a HP Probook 11 G2 that I purchased via auction with a locked bios password. I called HP... twice. They won't provide the smc.bin file. Very aggravating! Can you help? I'll read the links in your signature as well.

    We unlock it but need main bios backup
    you need to read main bios chip with eeprom reader

    check for ch341 with clip or ezp2010 with clip
    Clip = read bios chip without desoldering it
    But i am not 100% sure that you can read bios chip without desolder from motherboard because for some models the clip not read it correctly

    If you are not a tecnical specialist computer repair the best way is:
    you can send your laptop to a service shop and tell them to contact me to unlock your lap top

    I have HP ProBook 11 EE G2 and the bios is password locked. I have read Bios via eeprom and saved the file to my desktop. What do I have to modify in the file to remove the password?
