I have this model of the laptop. Is this the original bios or unlocked? I'm looking for an unlocked bios. Would this work?

Do you mean to run this bios file and it will prompt me for a password and want me to enter it incorrectly 3 times and take a picture and post?

I'm a little confused on the part where I need to enter a password. I tried to flash the bios but it tells me that "The program file's part number does not match with your system!" I don't know which part of the steps is going to require me to enter password as even if I tried to flash this bios, the flash utility would automatically flash bios. I provided an attached photo of what the screen shows.

Edit: I attached a second photo of the bios information.

After much research, I have found that this is a saved bios dump of the bios. Do you have the original back up of this bios? The Universal Bios Backup Toolkit does not do a proper backup as it cannot read all the registers off the table based on how you have obtained the dump of the bios file. Using any tools such as winphlash, awflash or any other DOS flasher will result in the error due to it being a copy of the bios dump missing some registers.

Here is a link to a forum discussing the matter regarding Phoenix Bios file issues.

Post #1 and #6 give a possible solution to obtain a proper bios backup. It's not the most easiest way to go about but it's doable.

The only way around this would be if you know how to modify the bios manually.
